- β’1 loaf Italian bread (or French baguette), sliced in half lengthwise
- β’Β½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- β’4 cloves garlic, minced
- β’2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- β’1 tbsp fresh oregano, chopped
- β’ΒΌ tsp salt
- β’2 slices provolone (optional)

Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Line a baking sheet with foil.

Mix butter, garlic, parsley, oregano, and salt in a small bowl until combined.

Spread the herb butter generously over each cut side of the bread. Add provolone slices if using.

Place on the baking sheet cut-side up. Bake 12-15 minutes until edges are golden.

Let cool 2 minutes, then slice into even pieces. Serve immediately.
